Conte Reveals Why Chelsea Had Unimpressive Campaign”

Newcastle United ended the season in style by beating Chelsea 3-0 at St James's Park yesterday.

"But you know, we have one game to go, he's very focused on preparing the game in the best possible way".

"Newcastle started very well and we were sloppy".

"We didn't lose our Champions League place today, we had chances in the last two games, but to finish the season this way is not good for anyone connected to the club. I wasn't able to convey that determination to my players".

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has warned his players ahead of his sides FA Cup final clash with Manchester United slated for May 19.

"Will Saturday be my last match?" I think, I think so.

"I am repeating always the same thing; I am committed to this club", he said. Not speculation around me.

Skipper Jamaal Lascelles told nufcTV: "It's massive, especially when you have so many people doubting you and saying you're going to come straight back down".

But the Italian has warned his players that they can not afford to deliver a repeat performance of their defeat to Newcastle.

We have five days to change our approach and desire and will to fight.

"It looked to me like everyone had one eye on the cup final which is very unsafe and we were lucky the game was kind of irrelevant".

More importantly, Chelsea fail qualify to the Champions League and will join Arsenal in the Europa League. Conte, however, did not want to speculate on the extent of the long-term damage finishing fifth will cause.

"I would like to thank Rafa Benitez for his magnificent achievement this season", said Ashley. "You'll have to ask the club about that", Conte added.

The Spaniard, who has a year left on his contract, has been critical of Newcastle's poor transfer dealings throughout the season.
