Trump Ally Alan Dershowitz Tells Hannity He Should Have Disclosed Cohen Link

Trump Ally Alan Dershowitz Tells Hannity He Should Have Disclosed Cohen Link”

"Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter", Hannity tweeted after Cohen's lawyers identified him as the third unnamed client.

"My discussion with Michael Cohen never rose to any level that I need to tell anyone I was asking him questions", Hannity said.

Sekulow and Toensing sent the letter to Tulsa's KFAQ after conservative activist Debbie Schlussel alleged on the station's Pat Campbell show that Hannity had acted in a "creepy" manner with her and invited her to his hotel room.

But, why then would Cohen's lawyer - in open court! - disclose that Hannity was the mysterious third Cohen client?

FBI agents raided Cohen's NY office and hotel room last week as part of a criminal investigation by the U.S. attorney's office for the Southern District of NY.

Carlson commented on the controversy ahead of Hannity's show, discussing Cohen's appearance in court on Monday.

The judge did not make a decision but said she was considering appointing a special master - not because of legal precedent but in the interest of avoiding the appearance of bias in the politically charged case.

There were audible gasps in court on Monday when it was revealed that Hannity was the mystery third client that Cohen was trying to keep secret. During the hearing, a judge ordered Cohen to reveal any other individuals he had as clients in 2018, with Sean Hannity being at the top of the list.

Scarborough and his co-host Mika Brzezinski, frequent critics of Trump and Hannity, hit the Fox News host hard for not mentioning his ties to Cohen while also covering and often defending him on the air.

"OH, FOR FOX SAKE!" the NY paper's headline screams, roughly approximating the collective response to the courtroom revelation.

At roughly the same time, Hannity, on his radio show, said it was unusual to see his name appearing on Fox News and wondered aloud if he should release a statement.

A new article from The Washington Post points out similarities between the way Hannity remembers his interaction with attorney Michael Cohen, and how Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) helped out Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Pinkman (Aaron Paul) back in season two of the AMC drama. While Cohen has been in the news for hush payments he negotiated to women who said they had affairs with Trump and a top RNC official, Hannity claims the work Cohen did for him "focused nearly exclusively on real estate".

Responding to the revelation, Hannity on Monday called his dealings with Cohen a "minor relationship" and said he had asked questions that "focused nearly exclusively on real estate".

He said on Twitter that he assumed his conversations with Cohen "were confidential". The lawyer has acknowledged paying $130,000 to Stephanie Clifford, an adult-film actress known as Stormy Daniels, as part of a nondisclosure agreement to secure her silence soon before Election Day in 2016.

He said the two men chatted occasionally, and his questions "focused nearly exclusively" on real estate.

Hannity never shared that his name was possibly on documents among the files seized in the raid, but he tried to tell his viewers that ther was no cause for alarm. "This is now officially an all-hand-on-deck effort to malign, and if possible, impeach the president of the United States". And, if no money was exchanged but the men did have a business relationship, was there some other sort of payback offered by Hannity to Cohen?

His rivals on competing networks and the late-night hosts, however, weren't buying it.

"Do you understand the nature of it, professor?"

Over the Trump and Cohen teams' objections, Wood allowed the government's filter team to run mechanical searches on the material collected to determine an estimate of how many documents it thought might be privileged.

Hannity wasn't willing to give an inch. Earlier this month he imagined Hannity as a pro wrestler, writing: "If u believe wrestling is real u may even believe Fox news, Info Wars and the robotic drones on Sinclair Broadcasting".

Some journalists there have grumbled about his friendly interviews with Trump. "I said many times on my radio show, I hate the stock market, I prefer real estate".
