Remembering Stephen Hawking and an historic physics conference

Remembering Stephen Hawking and an historic physics conference”

Despite his state, while we all know he suffered from a very grave disease and communicated with the world with a computer, Hawking did science and got grandiose results.

Hawking has often been compared to Albert Einstein, who did win a Nobel Prize.

In science, the contributions of Stephen Hawking are recognized by the world's physical community. But I should note that many outstanding scientists did such forecasts, For instance, Isaac Newton forecasted the end of the world several times.

Professor Stephen Hawking had a motor neurone disease practically his entire adult life but it did not stop him from having an attractive family and being successful in his work. "He was a warrior".

Hawking said there is the potential that machines could one day do all the work in society, and that fair distribution of the profits from that work would be the key. He was also wonderfully amusing with a fantastic media savviness that propelled him into A-list celebrity stardom as few other scientists before.

Hawking's personal life also became public property through the success of The Theory of Everything, which saw actor Eddie Redmayne win an Oscar for portraying the scientist. This approach shows convincingly that black holes do not violate any laws, and (by amending Hawking's theory just a tiny bit) that theory can be appreciated in all its beauty.

Though Hawking rejected the conventional notion of God or a creator, he fundamentally believed that the universe and life have meaning, according to the New York Times. The problem is even more pronounced in the Philippines where we have a president who forces me to mute the TV every time he opens his mouth and my kids are around.

Professor Stephen Toope said the 76-year-old Hawking, who died at his home in Cambridge, England, early Wednesday, will be missed all over the world.

A lot of the legacy Hawking left behind is in the form of his books, which he would often write for a popular audience rather than for his fellow physicist. His body was attacked by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, when he was 21, but he stunned doctors by living with the usually fatal illness for more than 50 years.

The Hawking Radiation Conference is co-sponsored by UNC-Chapel Hill, along with the Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics (Nordita), co-hosted by KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University; the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge; and The Julian Swinger Foundation.

Stephan William Hawking, we all have heard of him, the greatest Physicist, whom we ever heard of and who gave the theory about the black hole, which is not black and the big bang theory, which tells how our world is created.

But unlike most other patients, Hawking's lifespan was not over within two to five years.
