Ducks top troubled Wildcats in OT

Ducks top troubled Wildcats in OT”

Arizona was named in a separate ESPN report Friday night, claiming head coach Sean Miller had discussed on the phone paying to have Ayton attend Arizona.

It was a loss, but considering the controversy that has enveloped the Arizona program in the previous 24 hours, associate head coach Lorenzo Romar found a particular spirit to it.

The Arizona Board of Regents held an emergency session Saturday and received legal advice on the issue, board chair Bill Ridenour said in a statement.

Altman has publicly supported Arizona coach Sean Miller - who if these allegations are true has nearly certainly coached his final game for the Wildcats - and praised Arizona as the team everyone is chasing, a statement that apparently includes not only Pac-12 teams but also the federal authorities.

The Arizona offense was rolling out of the gates, as the Cats scored 31 points in the first 10:10 of action. Just before that game, a lawyer representing the Ayton family released a statement saying his clients were "outraged and disgusted" by the allegations against the Arizona freshman.

However, on the current state of the game, Altman said: "It is disappointing".

ESPN reported on Friday night that Miller had been heard discussing a $100K payment for a top recruit.

OR fans taunted Arizona by flashing fake money at tipoff. In late September, assistant coaches at four colleges were charged with crimes, including an assistant coach at Arizona, Emanuel Richardson.

"We weren't ready for the physicality of the game", said Altman, who declined to comment on Miller, a coach he's known since their days as Missouri Valley Conference foes.

In another email, Dawkins said that Richardson was the key to signing Alkins: "Book at Arizona has the juice with the situation, they're going to listen to him".

"I think he's handled it like a professional", Jackson-Cartwright said.

The loss dropped Arizona to 22-7 overall and 12-4, while OR improved to 19-10 and 9-7.

Miller is embroiled in an FBI investigation for corruption in college basketball.

So, all of the viewers - and of a PAC-12 game, surely with many Arizona fans watching - were under the impression that Miller had been fired.

For two years, the FBI investigated bribes in college basketball.
