Cleveland Cavaliers agree to trade Dwyane Wade to Miami Heat

Cleveland Cavaliers agree to trade Dwyane Wade to Miami Heat”

The dynamic duo has been tight since they broke into the league together in 2003, and it only seems to have grown stronger throughout the years. Dwyane Wade, who is one of LeBron James' best friends, might retire as a member of the Heat after this season.

Given the Cleveland Cavaliers' recent struggles, a lot of people expected them to makes moves by today's trade deadline. "It's how it's supposed to be", James wrote in the caption.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will receive a heavily protected second-round draft pick in return for Wade. After a rough and emotionally draining year in Cleveland, it's time.

ESPN was first to report the dizzying run of deals.

So, he's getting traded to a place he loves - Miami - and onto a team in the Heat that is competing for a playoff spot.

For many years, it appeared that two of the best players to come out of Chicago in the last generation in the National Basketball Association would be calling one place their home for the majority of their careers. He proved that he can transition to the bench and contribute even at 36.

The Cavaliers, who have been to the NBA Finals in each of the past three seasons, have underperformed so far this season and now sit in third place in the Eastern Conference. On the floor, losing Wade won't move the needle much for Cleveland.

While that's certainly not a report and might not have even crossed Wade's mind, it certainly crossed my mind when a significant contributor was traded for almost nothing.
