Smriti, Jhulan star as India rout South Africaā€¯

After AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis, now Quinton de Kock has been ruled out of the remaining ODIs, and is due to be absent for the T20Is as well.

Keeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen had already been included in the South Africa squad after the first ODI and can now be expected to make his debut in the third match at Cape Town on Wednesday.

"Quinton suffered an extreme blow to the left wrist while batting in the second ODI on Sunday and felt severe pain and discomfort", team manager Mohammed Moosajee said in a Cricket South Africa statement. This type of injury will require between 2-4 weeks to heal.

Twice previously, India have managed to win two ODIs in a bilateral series in South Africa - in 1992-93 and in 2010-11.

India produce a clinical all-round performance to thrash hosts South Africa by 88 runs in the first ODI of the ICC Women's Championship at Diamond Oval in Kimberley on Monday.

Virat Kohli-led team India, enthusiastic with two successive wins, will try to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the one-day series against South Africa.

Kuldeep and Chahal have bamboozled the Proteas with their wrist-spin in a sequence of matches.

However, they struggled to build partnerships as regular wickets undermined their run-chase.

De Kock is down with a left wrist injury which he sustained during the second one-dayer against India at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Sunday.

All of this places enormous pressure on South Africa's young stand-in captain Aiden Markram. Pandey rocked South Africa early by removing opener Lizelle Lee (3), wicket-keeper Trisha Chetty (5) and Mignon du Preez (0) to leave them at 23/3 in 9.2 overs. But with De Kock ruled out, he may be asked to open - his Test position - which could help him settle too.

From the on-set of the RamSlam T20 Challenge, De Kock has failed to find the middle of his bat.

In a way, this could be a blessing in disguise for the hosts.
