WWE Wrestler Rich Swann suspended following arrest in Gainesville

WWE Wrestler Rich Swann suspended following arrest in Gainesville”

A professional wrestler was arrested in Florida early Sunday after police said he put his wife in a headlock and dragged her into his auto.

Swann, 26, was arrested in Gainesville, Florida at Police at 10:30 PM on Saturday night for allegedly restraining and assaulting wife Vannarah Riggs, who wrestles on the independent circuit as Su Yung. He placed her in a headlock and dragged her back to their vehicle.

"WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Rich Swann has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest". The charge of false imprisonment is a felony.

Riggs told police she was afraid of Swann because he "has a temper sometimes", the complaint said.

Powell's POV: Swann denied getting physical with Riggs despite the eye witness reports. He said they'd been trying to get home and that her phone had the Global Positioning System so he needed her to return home. Regardless of how Swann got his wife back to the vehicle, it was said to be by force while she screamed for help the entire time.

Swann will have his initial appearance in court on Monday where he is now being held without bail. The auto would hit a telephone pole on the corner of NE 15th street and E University Avenue. The report says that the two have been together five years, and have been married for nine months.

If Swann is found guilty of this incident, it's more than likely WWE are going to release him.

On top of this, he could face charges of Battery which is a first-degree misdemeanour which carries up to one year in jail and a $1,000 if convicted. The Alachua County Sheriff in Florida says Swann was taken into custody around 12 AM and no bail amount has been posted.
