McConnell: Let Alabama voters decide if Moore joins Senate”

McConnell was initially among several national Republicans to urge Moore, who faces Democrat Doug Jones in a December 12 special election, to drop out of the race after multiple women accused Moore of inappropriate sexual conduct decades ago, when he was in his early 30s and they were as young as 14.

McConnell said last month he believes the women who have accused Moore.

Trump has said Moore says the allegations are untrue, saying, "He denies it".

92 percent of voters who don't believe the charges think they were dreamed up by Democrats, while 88 percent say the media and newspapers are the culprits.

47% of the likely voters are backing Moore, the GOP candidate.

The Senate will deal with Moore if he wins, McConnell told ABC's This Week on Sunday.

Not surprisingly, women are more likely to find the allegations against Moore to be credible and, in turn, are also more likely to support Jones.

But the most recent RealClearPolitics averaging of polls shows Moore with another 6 percentage-point lead.

Saturday's Washington Post poll shows the Alabama electorate is divided on the validity of the allegations against Moore, and that some voters still believe those claims are baseless.

Senate majority leader says he has looked at "all the options" to prevent Judge Roy Moore from being seated in the U.S. Senate; Mike Emanuel reports from Capitol Hill. Even so, fifty-three percent of voters said Jones has higher standards of personal moral conduct, compared to 34 percent who said the same about Moore.

Several women have come forward to accuse Mr. Moore of inappropriately touching or pursuing relationships with them when they were teenagers and he was an adult.

Moore had a six-point advantage before the Washington Post on November 9 revealed allegations that he had made improper sexual advances on teenage girls in the 1970s when he was in his 30s. Eighty percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents said they trust Moore over Jones on abortion.
