Prince Harry's Friends Couldn't Stop Talking About Meghan Markle Engagement Announcement

Prince Harry's Friends Couldn't Stop Talking About Meghan Markle Engagement Announcement”

Meghan Markle's new engagement ring from Prince Harry is anything but ordinary.

"It was so sweet and natural and very romantic", she said.

Speaking to reporters, Prince Harry said he's "thrilled" to be marrying Meghan and added that he knew she was the one from the "very first time" they met, the Guardian reported.

"Having diamonds form the royal collection that Princess Diana wore makes the ring priceless".

Ms Markle is best known for her starring role in the USA series Suits - although Prince Harry admitted he'd never watched the drama. The iconic domed landmark housed the wedding of Prince Harry's parents Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana Frances Spencer in 1981.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh said they were "delighted for the couple and wish them every happiness", a Buckingham Palace spokesman said.

The royal couple announced their engagement overnight local time, 16 months after they started dating.

Harry and Markle, who is a divorcee, met in July 2016 after they were introduced through a friend who set them up on a blind date.

"I had never watched Suits, I had never heard of Meghan before and I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her".

"I did not have any understanding of just what it would be like", she said, saying there was a misconception that because she was an actress she would be used to being in the media spotlight.

"Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person", they said. "It's incredible. obviously not being able to meet his mum, it's so important to me to know that she's a part of this with us", Markle said, turning to Harry as she spoke about the ring.

Meghan Markle is ditching her suit for a wedding gown.

The two were rumored to be planning a "non-traditional wedding" - unlike the lavishly royal wedding where Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot. The pair dated for almost a year and their wedding will occur sometime in the spring of 2018, royal officials announced.

Forgoing royal family history, Prince Harry may opt for a more intimate venue, unique to him and his fiancé.

In 2011, she married film producer Trevor Engelson but they divorced two years later.

Exasperated by the media frenzy, the palace also released an extraordinary statement attacking the "sexism" and "racism" directed at Markle, who is of mixed race.

"Now it's time to work as a team with you", she said as she turned to Prince Harry.
