Kid Rock tells Howard Stern he's not running for Senate”

Musician Kid Rock announced Tuesday that he will not run for the Senate next year, quashing speculation that he would challenge Democratic Sen.

According to The Hill, Kid Rock recently appeared on The Howard Stern Show and told the veteran shock jock that his whole "bid" for Senate was some sort of joke, or ploy, or stunt to support an upcoming album or something. "You f--g kidding me? Who [exlpetive] couldn't figure that out?" the rock star said to Stern.

Rock will be touring behind his latest album "Sweet Southern Sugar", the first record he's made in Nashville after slowly shifting from a combative young Detroit rapper to a middle-aged rebel (ish) rocker. "I'm not going to put that much effort into it anymore, because I'm too rich".

Stern said that Kid Rock's new album, "Sweet Southern Sugar", will be released November 3.

"F-- no, I'm not running for Senate".

Rock said the summer and fall con was "the most creative thing I've ever done". Kid Rock's not running for Senate. In recent months, he had delved into politics during speeches at concerts. She used the Rock rumors to urge supporters to donate to her campaign, saying polls showed he actually could become the Republican candidate.

Debbie Stabenow, a Democrat and one of Michigan's two senators, is up for re-election for her fourth term in 2018.

He said Stern was the only interview he would be doing and mentioned his distrust of the press, especially the "left-wing media", including the New York Times, which he called "a little bit gay".
