Meteorologists are calling for Tuesday temperatures in the low 70s and getting closer to 80 on Wednesday, with sunny skies Tuesday and a 50 percent chance of rain the next day.

Partly sunny, with a high near 68.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 56, according to the weather service.

Sunday: Mostly sunny - high near 81.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and cool. Cloudy, with a high near 63. The high will be near 75, with a south southwest wind of 3 to 7 miles per hour.

Forecasters said Tuesday's high should be close to 80 once again, which is 15 degrees above normal for Madison in early October.

Wednesday night - Occasional showers, mainly before 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 61 by 1pm. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday night should be clear, with a low around 57.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers/thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 71. Winds will be from the south gusting up to 20 miles per hour.

Wednesday, there is a 70 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, the weather service said.

Tonight the NWS is calling for a low around 44 with the winds turning to the south, but remaining calm at 5 to 7 miles per hour. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday, Oct. 6 - Sunny, with a high near 92. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Columbus Day - A 40 percent chance of showers.

Friday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 43.
