Ten new details about Face ID on Apple's iPhone X

Ten new details about Face ID on Apple's iPhone X”

At the press conference today, organised for the unveiling of the new Iphones, Akash Ambani promised a 70% Buyback on the Iphone 8 and Iphone 8 Plus after the completion of one year on the Jio network.

The newly launched phones from stables of Apple will be available for purchase from September 29 onwards at a starting price of Rs 64,000. Till the iPhone X launch, though, the fastest roll-out for an Apple product in India would be those of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. But here is an offer through which you can buy iPhone 8 at an "effective price" of just Rs 18,778. Retailers said most of the potential consumers were waiting for the pricier and much-hyped iPhone X, which would be available just over a month after the iPhone 8 series goes on sale on Friday.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have been available in the market since September 22.

Amazon is also offering some special deals on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus in association with Reliance Jio.

Flipkart is offering an exchange offer for new Apple iPhone 8 models, which promises additional exchange values up to 12 per cent on previous flagship smartphones like Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, OnePlus 3T, and others.

Jio is also offering a 70 percent buyback offer alongwith the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus that will give you a rebate of Rs 44,800.

If you've chose to hold out for an iPhone X rather than picking up an iPhone 8 Plus, you may have made a very wise decision.

Featuring the new glass and aluminium design, Apple claims that the new iPhones have been made from the most durable glass ever in a smartphone. That was the flawless combination to make the batteries explode and in the end Samsung had to stop production and deal with public fallout that included FAA flight bans for the phone. In case you haven't pre-ordered till now, you can still do it. The price starts from INR 64,000 for iPhone 8. Wireless charging is, however, incredibly convenient, if you've got the right set up. Details are scarce at this point, but reports indicate that at least two iPhone 8 Plus models have split open.

So if you purchase the iPhone 8 plus 256GB at its full cost of Rs. 86,000, the buyback will be computed at Rs. 75,680 - Rs. 10,320 won't be considered for the cash back in light of 12 percent GST. Customers who opt for Buyback scheme will need to do a monthly recharge of Rs. 799.

Here's everything else that made news in the world of technology.

- Buy the iPhone 8 or the iPhone 8 Plus if you are looking to get a high-end phone that will serve you with minimum fuss.
