Trump retweets doctored video of golf ball hitting Clinton”

President Donald Trump has retweeted an animated gif showing him hitting a golf ball at his 2016 presidential rival Hillary Clinton and knocking her to the ground.

The president has previously taken to Twitter to retweet animations, including one that depicted him pummeling a figure with a CNN logo superimposed on his head.

The GIF shows Donald Trump hitting a golf ball into the back of Hillary Clinton.

The act drew responses on Twitter that condemned Trump for inciting violence and unpresidential conduct, but some also said the post was amusing.

The president's Sunday morning Twitter storm has also included a puzzling tweet about a conversation South Korean President Moon Jae-in in which Trump said he "asked him how Rocket Man is doing". After Trump tees off, the video is doctored and shows the ball hitting Clinton, who was boarding a plane in 2011, the New York Post reported.

Trump slammed Clinton over her new book earlier this week too, tweeting that she "blames everybody (and every thing) but herself for her election loss". "Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president had never done so".

The retweet comes after Trump attacked Clinton directly last Wednesday (Thursday NZT) in a pair of tweets.

Referring to Mrs Clinton's past description of some Trump supporters, he later tweeted: "The "deplorables" came back to haunt Hillary".

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday about the President's tweet and whether Kelly was aware of it.

This time, Mr Trump has retweeted a user with the Twitter name "CNN sucks".

It's a big week for President Trump.
