Google continues to expand Assistant to home appliances and more

Google continues to expand Assistant to home appliances and more”

The voice assistant from Google's Home smart speaker has been unleashed in third-party devices, with the launch of a new product from Panasonic that promises better sound quality.

"From the start, we've believed that your Google Assistant should be available wherever you need help, and that's why it's already on Google Home, eligible Android phones, iPhones, Google Allo and Android Wear", Google said on its blog.

Google today announced that customers will soon be able to purchase three new third-party speakers that have its Google Assistant baked in. Google has announced that Google Assistant is coming to connected speakers from Mobvoi, Anker, Panasonic, and that appliances from LG will come later this year. The voice service is arriving at speakers, washing machines, dryers, and vacuums. The Google Assistant is just one but we can expect LG to play well with Amazon's Alexa.

Much like Amazon has done, Google is opening up Google Assistant to third parties.

What do you think about more devices adding Google Assistant support? These new speakers are due to be launched later this year, with primary launch markets being Australia, Canada, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the US. It's also coming to Panasonic's (PCRFY) GA10, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Using simple voice commands, the SC-GA10 can stream music, answer questions about the weather and control other compatible smart devices to provide a seamless, coordinated experience. Want to know if your favorite jeans are clean?

Microsoft's Cortana may have been the first "assistant" between Google and Microsoft, but the Google's Assistant appears to be becoming more widespread at a faster rate than Microsoft's solution.

You get an Echo Dot-like design with buttons on top as well as a strap to easily carry the TicHome Mini with you everywhere.

We're going to have to wait to see how well and smoothly these appliances work with Google Assistant. It' a reliable appliance most households will find useful because it can cut grass on its own so you don't have to drive a lawnmower and spend a lot of time doing the chore.
