Man City announce departure of Nasri”

Turkish Süper Lig side Antalyaspor have brought Samir Nasri's six-year stay at Manchester City to an end by signing the 30-year-old on a two-year deal.

After spending last season on loan at Sevilla, he was part of City's pre-season tour of the United States but was left out of Pep Guardiola's squad for the season-opening game at Brighton.

Nasri has agreed personal terms with the Turkish club and the deal will be completed subject to worldwide clearance being secured.

City are not expected to receive even half of their original asking price in the deal.

Nasri will come against another ex-City player, Gaël Clichy (now at Başakşehir), who also joined from Arsenal in the same transfer window as Samir in 2011.

The midfielder scored a total of 27 goals and provided 40 assists in over 170 appearances for City.

"Our club has signed a two-year contract with midfielder Samir Nasri in concluding an agreement with Manchester City", said a statement on the official Antalyaspor website. Following his first three years at the club, Nasri has never been able to fulfil his true potential and it seems that he has allowed off the field distractions to affect the further progression of his career.
