Taylor Swift Has Just Testified at Her "Groping" Trial

Taylor Swift Has Just Testified at Her

Taylor Swift testified in detail on Thursday in Denver about a 2013 incident in which she said former disc jockey David Mueller "grabbed my ass underneath my skirt" during a meet-and-greet with fans.

Swift's mum Andrea told the Denver court that when they went back to the singer's dressing room, "she told me someone had grabbed her".

A tearful Andrea Swift took the stand Wednesday, pointed to Mueller and declared "that guy" had "sexually assaulted" her daughter during a photo op at a pre-concert fan meet-and-greet.

She testified guard Greg Dent saw David Mueller "lift my skirt" and grab her but that it was it was impossible for anyone to see Mueller's hand beneath her skirt and on her buttock because they were posing for the photo with their backs to a wall.

Swift's mom, Andrea, wasn't present at court on Thursday because the judge said she wasn't feeling well.

Questioned repeatedly about how she was groped, Swift testified that "it was a definite grab". The singer's been in court every day since the trial began, something she hopes will "serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts".

"He stayed attached to my bare ass-cheek as I lurched away from him", she told a federal court trial today.

Call said Swift's liaison to radio stations, Frank Bell, told him Swift's team was "outraged. very upset" by what happened and was considering all options, including alerting the police.

The photo of the encounter shows, Swift testified, "he was in the process of grabbing my a-, yes".

Taylor Swift has taken the witness stand in her lawsuit claiming she was groped by a radio host.

Mueller says this allegedly false accusation got him fired from a $150,000 a year job and prevented him from finding radio work since.

Swift then counter-sued, alleging sexual assault. Instead, he's seeking whatever the jury sees fit.

She dismissed attempts to dissuade her from her story and rejected the suggestion that she had continued greeting guests for as long as 30 minutes after the alleged assault, as if nothing had happened.

"Yes, she did not have her hand on my ass", Swift replied.

Mueller filed a lawsuit seeking nearly US$3 million (RM12.8 million) in lost and future wages because of "slander" from members of the Swift camp, while Swift has counter-sued for the alleged sexual assault.

He said that during the photo, which also included his girlfriend at the time, that his right hand, in a closed fist with his palm down, came into contact with Taylor's rib cage.

"I don't have any feelings about a person I don't know", she said. "I never have said anything different". During her testimony, Mueller's attorney questioned why she didn't take some time to herself immediately after.

Robert Call, Mueller's boss who chose to fire him in 2013, also testified on Thursday.
