More injury concerns for Murray

Murray was scheduled to play on Friday but has pulled out of action citing a "sore hip".

But coach Ivan Lendl insisted there is no need to panic even though Murray will now go his first match at SW19 on Monday with only one full match on grass under his belt.

Murray was hitting and serving smoothly but in between rallies limped, grimaced and occasionally bent over in apparent pain.

"Sadly I won't be ready to play at the Hurlingham (an exclusive sports and social club located in London) tomorrow", he said yesterday. I'm practising again later.

ANDY MURRAY hobbled off the practice court deepening fears that he may pull out of Wimbledon.

After completing a second session at Aorangi Park, Murray added: "The session was good".

Meanwhile Johanna Konta is also in a race to be fit after pulling out of her Eastbourne semi-final with a back injury.

Murray was beaten by world No90 Jordan Thompson of Australia, who was only drafted in a matter of hours before the tie following the late withdrawal of Aljaz Bedene through injury.

"Whatever happens in the following 24 hours and the following 24 hours after that, I'll see once this 24 hours is up", Konta said.

He has been hampered by various ailments throughout 2017; being struck down with shingles after the Australian Open; pulling out of the Miami Open with an elbow injury; and complaining of a virus on the eve of the French Open last month. I thought previous year was more hard because in two weeks we didn't finish one practice on our own terms.
