Hurry! Amazon Echo has been given a massive discount for today only”

The first reviews are in for the Echo Show, Amazon's newest $230 Alexa-powered device, and it appears the company has found another victor.

While the videos show the device to be functional, it also demonstrates Amazon being quite obstinate about voice control when touching the screen would be faster, and I think shows that there is still room for competitors like Microsoft's upcoming Home Hub to deliver a more intelligent and intuitive interface.

Now as for what some of the early reviews are saying, let's dive in. And, most importantly, it cements the Echo family as something essential to your daily life.

Here's the deal with the Echo Show.

The Echo Show exists without any direct competition.

The smart speaker offers 360-degree omnidirectional audio and can play music from various services including Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, TuneIn, iHeart Radio, and more.

The Echo Show is a character study in gadget restraint.

This is one of the lowest prices we've seen on the Echo, beating out other recent deals by $10. But they are all incredible.

With the intercom features, users will be able to single out a specific Echo device and communicate with it directly. You can ask for anything and the Echo will give you a proper respond. It sits on your counter, answers your questions, sets your timers, and occasionally displays useful information. It's not necessary, but it is nice. The screen also displays album covers to help you make song selections. Chief among those is video calling. "All hands-free-just ask", Amazon explains. To use Amazon's tagline, "now Alexa can show you things". Buy the Amazon Echo from the following link with all the details.

Lastly, a quick video of the Echo Show in action was posted to Amazon's YouTube channel over the weekend.
