Sheriff's office: Florida home set on fire to hide killings”

Tony and Chrissy Hughes, 39, husband and wife, lived in their home at 855 Atz Road in Malabar with their son, Sebastian Meachum, 9, deputies said.

A child's body has been found inside a burned Malabar home and investigators say the fire was started in an effort to cover up a homicide.

Deputies said Monday afternoon that a child had been found dead inside the home.

Brevard County and Palm Bay Fire Rescues found an adult female inside the home Sunday, but had to leave the home because the structure was not safe, investigators said. The remains have not yet been positively identified, but they are believed to be those of Sebastian.

The victims' names weren't released, but the child's body is believed to be that of 9-year-old Sebastian Meachum, who was reported missing Sunday, WKMG-TV reports.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire, but Goodyear said a thorough search of the house will be hard because of the extensive damage to the house.

A motorboat was found seven miles off the coast of Sebastian Inlet running in circles.

Witnesses told deputies there were some recent domestic violence issues between the Hughes. They urge anyone who spots them to call 911.
