Video shows struggle for gun in deadly shootout at vehicle dealership

Two bounty hunters and a fugitive from Minnesota they were seeking died in a shootout at an auto dealership while employees and customers fled for cover, authorities said.

In 26 seconds of video captured on cell phone, you can see the moment bounty hunters Fidel Garcia and Gabriel Bernal approached suspect Ramon Hutchinson.

Hutchinson tried to pull a gun from his waistband but dropped it on a desk.

But police say they were actually bounty hunters who had a tip that a Minnesota fugitive would be at the dealership that day.

Hennepin County Sheriff's Office in Minneapolis issued a warrant for Hutchinson after he failed to appear on a first-degree felony drug charge. One woman reported she was "hiding in the bathroom". An employee was also with two customers in the office right next to them, but none of them were hurt.

While no names of the deceased have been confirmed, the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI) named one of the men as Fidel Garcia, Jr.

"At approximately 1920 hours, Greenville police responded to multiple gunshots at Nissan of Greenville, located at 6403 Interstate 30".

Rick Ford, who owns the Texas dealership, told CBS that Garcia and Bernal entered his establishment and claimed that they were federal agents.

"Mr. Garcia felt the defendant would ultimately appear at that dealership, " Peters said.

It is important to note that bounty hunters are not law enforcement officials. The first two men represented themselves as federal agents but may have been bounty hunters.

The dealership's service department was expected to reopen today, but Pruett said the plan is to open all parts of the dealership on Monday.

Michael Phariss manages private investigators licensed to bounty hunt for the Texas Response Group.

Neither Garcia or Bernal have an active private investigator license according to the Texas Online Private Security (TOPS) database maintained by DPS.

Police say at least 20 shots were fired inside this vehicle dealership outside of Dallas, with employees and customers, including their children, running for cover.
