Two students will represent Oklahoma in the Scripps National Spelling Bee

However, she didn't score high enough on the preliminary spelling and vocabulary test before the bee to become one of the 50 finalists when the field was whittled down after the first two rounds of competition. The third round of competition will start in the afternoon, and the finals are scheduled to take place Thursday. As an eighth-grader, she will not be eligible to compete next year.

Noll reported that she will be back onstage at 1 p.m.to begin the third round.
