Teased OnePlus 5 phone could come sooner than we thought”

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has finally confirmed that they are indeed working on OnePlus 5.

We've heard a lot of exciting claims about the OnePlus 4, such as the possibility of a QHD screen, a massive 4,000mAh battery, 8GB of RAM and the fact it may be called the OnePlus 5, but the latest leaks suggest these things might not be true.

The source also says that while rumors of a dual-lens camera are accurate, the lenses will be horizontally aligned rather than vertically aligned, which would mean previously leaked images of the phone - including the one above - are inaccurate. Some reports are claiming it will be embedded into the screen, although we'll have to wait and see whether this rumour comes to fruition.

Specs rumoured for the OnePlus 5 include at 23MP plus a front-facing selfie snapper at 16MP, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM and a 3000mAh battery.

As for storage, Kumamoto Technology says that it will have 128GB of storage.

We've got some new information regarding the OnePlus 5.

OnePlus made a name for itself by offering high-end flagship killers at affordable prices and it now has a number of smartphones in its roster, with more on the way. The handset may or may not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, the report says.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shared a message that OnePlus posted on Chinese social network Weibo, teasing the upcoming OnePlus 5 for the first time. Dubbed the "flagship killer", the OnePlus 1 quickly rose to glory thanks to its top-tier specs at a fraction of the cost of other comparable flagships. Lastly, another leakster known as Mocha RQ says that the upcoming flagship from OnePlus would continue to support full HD display and it is speculated to hit the market at the end of June this year.
