Man killed in crash allegedly involving former 'Bachelor' star”

His spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, issued a statement saying Soules "was devastated" when he learned that Mosher had died. "Hopefully, the state and Mr. Mosher's family take swift legal action to force Mr. Soules to face both civil and criminal penalties as a result of his selfish decision".

Soules, who wasn't injured in the crash, left the scene before authorities arrived.

Bachelor alum Chris Soules wiped his Instagram account after he was involved in a fatal accident on Tuesday (Apr. 25, 2017).

In northeast Iowa, where Mosher and Soules both farmed, community members told local media they were heartbroken for the family's of both men.

The crash caused the tractor to roll and go into a ditch on one side of the road, while Soules' truck went into a ditch on the other side, the patrol said.

"Soules stated he was scared and did not want to hurt his insurance so he left the scene", the report continued.

Attorney Nick Rowley of Trial Lawyers for Justice recently commented on the tragic hit and run that occurred last night near Aurora.

Today, investigators will be looking into what happened before the crash, where Soules was, what he was doing, etc.

The County Attorney says he has not been cooperative with law enforcement. He is scheduled to appear in court on 2 May. "[Soules] was contacted within hours after the accident and admitted to driving vehicle one and striking vehicle two". They told KWWL the investigation should be wrapped up in a few days.

Soules was friendly with Mosher, the man who was killed in the accident, RadarOnline.com reported. Police originally charged Soules with a class D felony for leaving the accident but later added that "further chargers may be pending".

ET spoke to Young following Soules and Mosher's auto crash on Monday night, which resulted in Mosher's death.

- There were skid marks showing Soules tried braking before the crash.

Authorities are trying to identify who picked up Soules in the red truck. He said Soules was located a short time later at his home.

While Soules has not been charged with any alcohol-related offenses at this time, TMZ reports that police documents indicate he had alcoholic beverages on him at the time of the crash.

Soules' bail is set at $10,000 bond. He had past driving infractions, including a 2006 conviction for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The Buchanan County Sheriff said they are still investigating the accident. This is a developing story.

Soules was arrested at his Arlington home hours later. That person's name has not been released.
