Microsoft is killing off passwords”

Each list you create is topped by a handsome header image and can be customized with a different theme.

App which is still in the preview stage will replace the Wunderlist once Microsoft adds all of the best features of the latter to its new To-Do app. The tasks are also listed according to their importance so you know which ones need be finished first.

Microsoft adds that To-Do is "the only task management app built on an enterprise cloud", and says that a Mac app is in the pipeline.

As the name suggests, the goal of the app is to allow users to easily create to-do lists, reminders, and keep a track of your tasksIt'sts essentially Microsft's move to replace Wunderlist, as the company plans to kill the app and roll out its own version of Wunderlist with added features such as Office365 integration, Outlook Calender sync, and more. The company plans to sunset Wunderlist when it feels the new To-Do app has the best features from that older app, but there are no specifics on when that will actually happen.

The To-Do preview is rather bare bones right now. "In the meantime, there will not be any features brought to Wunderlist, but we will continue to ensure the security of the Wunderlist experience".

The impact on you at home: Microsoft To-Do is clearly just a start. It integrates with your calendar and the existing tasks functions in Outlook. With this feature the app gain the ability to sign into your Microsoft Accounts with just a phone.

Microsoft acquired 6Wunderkinder in June 2015, the creators of the Wunderlist app.

The company says there is a link at the bottom of the confirmation page that allows users to use passwords if they prefer. Known as Project Cheshire before, it is now available as a Preview on the Web, and as applications for Android, iOS and Windows 10.

"Over the years of building Wunderlist, we repeatedly heard feedback from our customers that although they were completing most of their to-dos in a day or two, they would struggle to manage their ever-growing, longer and overwhelming lists".

If you already use the Microsoft Authenticator for your personal account, select the dropdown button on your account tile, and choose Enable phone sign-in.

If you don't have the Microsoft Authenticator App installed you'll need to grab that from the Play Store and set it up.
