Hundreds march to Mar-a-Lago in "Tax March"

- Thousands of people marched across Palm Beach County this weekend, demanding that President Donald Trump release his tax returns.

He arrived at his club host before 10 a.m., and the White House staff has not yet said what he's doing - which is usually a good indication of what's he doing. This weekend, Trump is making his seventh visit to Mar-a-Lago since becoming president. The president has spent now 13 weekends away from the White House, representing a whopping 28 percent of the time he has been in transit or is actually in Palm Beach. Most of that time has been at Mar-a-Lago or nearby golf courses, but it also includes side trips the president has made to Tampa, Melbourne and Orlando.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, who heads what is described as a conservative watchdog group, initially questions the president's choice of such expensive destinations.

Alternatively, if Trump were to have given Mar-a-Lago a miss, the money could have been used to fund six years of Homelessness Aid.

Trump's frequent trips to Florida contrast with his statements during the presidential campaign, in which he said that he would not leave the White House often.

There was nothing unusual about the violations and state officials see no need to increase the routine cycle of surprise inspections beyond the usual twice a year, said Kathleen Keenan, a spokeswoman for the Florida regulator. "When you're really trying to get a lot done, you have to budget your time very carefully, and we're going to continue to be smart about the best use of his time because it is his most valuable asset". "So it's not the end of the world that he hosts the president of China, or anyone else, down there".

On Saturday, after golf, the president's motorcade took a different, longer route than usual to return to his private club, coming back from the north and along the coast.

Earlier Trump sent out a celebratory message on Twitter: "Happy Easter to everyone!".

"One of the gravest threats to religious freedom remains the threat of terror", Trump said at the time.

President Trump attended Easter services on Sunday at the church in Palm Beach, Fla., where he married first lady Melania Trump and where their son Barron was baptized.

Melania has traveled on Air Force One with the president on previous trips, such as one during his eighth week as president.
