Mike Epps Apologizes For Kangaroo Stunt; Will Feds Get Involved?

Mike Epps Apologizes For Kangaroo Stunt; Will Feds Get Involved?”

Some show goers and Epps followers were not pleased with the animal addition to the show.

He later posted an apology note to his social media account, and said he would be donating to a kangaroo conservation charity. A message was left with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Epps egged the handler on as he wanted to get the animal involved in the performance and even at one point grabbed the leash to hold it for a picture.

"They end up bringing the kangaroo up and wanting to show the kangaroo off on the front of the stage". A man is seen picking up the animal and carrying it around the stage.

"Look I wanna sincerely apologize to everybody".

In a video of the Friday night event, Epps can be seen holding the animal's harness.

However, a person does not need a license to work with animals in a zoo but a business must have a USDA license to be open to guests and exhibit animals, according to a spokesperson for the Detroit Zoological Society.

Stacks told TMZ.com the kangaroo was not harmed, and the leash he used is legal and preferable to a collar.

This same kangaroo, who belongs to zoo owner Javon Stacks, caused a buzz after Stacks was caught on video walking the kangaroo down a Detroit street last week.

In an half-hearted attempt to put a positive spin on the situation, Epps posted a backstage video of himself feeding a banana to a different kangaroo, accompanied by the caption, "Yeah what's the problem?"

Jovan Stacks, the owner of the kangaroo, said the animal is part of his exotic zoo business.
