Game of Thrones trailer teases glimpse at what season seven will bring

The series is based on the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R.R. Martin, and will conclude with an eighth season in 2018.

The first Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer is wonderful!

Game of Thrones season 7 just released a new official promo, and we have a feeling that James' 1990 hit "Sit Down" is about to experience a surge in downloads.

Jon is still in Winterfell, where he was heroically coronated as King in the North in Season 6.

Finally, Cersei also comes into frame.

It is around this trio of pretenders to the famous Iron Throne that the new trailer of the seventh season of the most addictive series in the world is concentrated: Game of Thrones.

Set to music artist James' track Sit Down, the three contenders for the Iron Throne are shown walking briskly and with objective down long hallways towards their individual thrones. Last year's sixth season premiere drew record television and streaming viewership for HBO. Throners are already hypothesising that she's in the previously unseen Throne Room at Dragonstone, the ancestral seat of House Targaryen in Westeros.

This first Game of Thrones promo shows us three of the kings and queens that matter most in this universe - at least, the ones who are still alive. Daenerys, surprisingly, sits at another throne. See that White Walker at the end of the promo? Will Cersei, Jon and Dany join forces for the good of Westeros against the Night King's army, which is now descending from Beyond the Wall? It might seem like you've been waiting ages, but season 7 is indeed on the way.

A new trailer has been released and it features the three power players in the said HBO show's new season.
