Coliseum loses money on Raiders, doesn't want team here in 2019

But with their $1.7 billion stadium not to be completed before 2020, the Raiders have three seasons to fill playing elsewhere.

It describes the stadium: "Near the airport and adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, the location of the Las Vegas Stadium is optimal for both local and visiting guests".

Davis has admitted that he doesn't have the liquidity to fund a stadium on his own.

It appears that the Raiders are already making contingency plans in case their divorce with the city of Oakland gets messy. The Raiders kicked off their history in the AFL in Oakland in 1960, but moved to Los Angeles for the 1982 season. Bank of America has committed to financing the rest.

The Raiders received about $750 million from Nevada taxpayers past year to build a stadium in Las Vegas, and team owner Mark Davis is putting up 500 million.

The Raiders decided on the move to Las Vegas after the city of Oakland refused to give public money to build a new stadium to replace the aging Oakland Coliseum.

Warriors forward Draymond Green made one thing clear after Tuesday night's win over the Rockets: He supports Raiders fans who choose to boycott games at the Coliseum moving forward. "If [sharing Levi's] was an opportunity, we'd certainly sit down and discuss it, but I think there are a lot of moving pieces right now that it's really conjecture to talk about 2019 at this point, when they'd still, obviously, prefer to be at the Coliseum".

The Oakland Raiders will soon become the Las Vegas Raiders.

The two-time All-Star also said that while he isn't a big Raiders fan, he doesn't plan on seeing a game live out of solidarity with fans in the Bay Area.

Although Davis wants to stay in Oakland, he clearly won't be keep his team there if it doesn't have any support.

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio, who grew up a Raiders fan in the Oakland suburb of Hayward and said he had "mixed feelings" about relocation, was asked about potentially losing the Raiders' unique home-field advantage in the form of protesting fans staying home with the team being a lame duck in the Black Hole.

"So Las Vegas, you can count on us bringing a piece of Oakland with us and you are getting a tough, loyal, and competitive fan base and team", he said. Fellow AFC West divisional rivals, Denver, Kansas City, and the Los Angeles Chargers will be there at least once every season while other AFC opponents visit on a rotating schedule predetermined by the league. A move that shocked some, but in reality this is just another play from an owner who is living up to his late-father's legacy. Most sports franchise owners, not just those in the National Football League, typically have the assets to fund their own stadiums, but would rather have taxpayers foot the bill.
