Expressing happiness over large number of people participating in the digital payment, Prime minister said the poorest of the poor also making an attempt to learn to do business without cash. In his address, PM Modi evoked Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his comrades, Sukhdev and Rajguru who were hanged to death by the British during their fight for Indian Independence. "People have rejected corruption & black money".

In his monthly radio address "Mann Ki Baat", Modi exhorted all Indians to fight black money and corruption by opting for digital payments than cash transactions.

Pointing out to the government's vision to ensure the country's newborns get proper care, Modi said that working women will now be given maternity leave of 26 weeks, instead of the earlier 12 weeks, for their pregnancy and delivery.

Ahead of the World Health Day on April 7, Modi asked people to speak up and seek help for depression.

"New India is neither a government programme, nor is it the manifesto of a political party, nor is it a project".

Observing that the budget had announced that there would be 2500 crore digital transactions this year, he said if 125 crore countrymen can resolve, "they need not wait for a year; they can do it in six months".

New India manifests the strength and skills of 125 crore Indians, who will create a Bhavya and Divya Bharat. "He said that Gayatri, has a lot of anger in her towards this pollution, and every citizen should have the same anger towards pollution, then only can the nation achieve cleanliness", Gayatri told ANI.

PM Modi also talks on the issue of wastage of food.

PM Narendra Modi even invited suggestions for third International Day of Yoga.
