New Xbox Wireless Controller brings more grip and better tech

New Xbox Wireless Controller brings more grip and better tech”

The Xbox One is getting a classy new controller with Microsoft announcing a "Tech Series" of gamepads. The controller series is apparently inspired by "military technology and performance patterns", as well as concepts "stemming from combat armour and sci-fi mechanical gear". Xbox One owners who don't want to shell out for the fancy new controller can get the Copilot feature through a creators update later this year. The wireless controller will be available worldwide on April 25 and will cost $69.99. Similar military-inspired controllers can be expected as Microsoft continues to roll out the series ahead of its scheduled Project Scorpio launch around the holiday season.

What's been your favorite Xbox One controller so far?

Microsoft already offers lots of different Xbox One controllers, while the $80 Design Lab controllers allow you to customize the pad's colors and more to your liking. The back of the controller features textured diamond rubberized grip for added control and comfort. Premium finishes like a laser etched texture on the front, gold accents and insignia are on the front of the controller. The controller is good to go out of the box with the Xbox One, Windows 10 devices and Samsung Gear VR. Also, the custom button mapping feature is available through the Xbox Accessories App.
