Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia - Two Armies Trailer, Limited Edition announced

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia - Two Armies Trailer, Limited Edition announced”

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will be out on April 20th for the 3DS.

Shadows of Valentia limited edition bundle includes a copy of the game, a hardcover art book, a soundtrack CD and a pin set featuring pixelated versions of characters Alm, Celica and Marth.

Nintendo clearly thinks they're onto something here as the game has scored a Limited Edition that fans might dig.

Amiibo support will be in the game, and the Alm and Celica figures launching on May 19 will unlock bonus dungeons.

Shadows of Valentia is a reimagining of Fire Emblem Gaiden that never made it outside Japan.

When used in the game, these amiibo will activate their own exclusive dungeons, allowing heroes to earn items and level up their armies further by defeating bosses. There will also be free exploration which hasn't happened in a Fire Emblem game yet.

Additionally, the Mila's Turnwheel option lets you use an Amiibo to sacrifice one of the two character's health during battle.

A special edition of upcoming 3DS remake Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia has been announced, as have new details about how Amiibo figures will work with the game. As Alm and Celica get stronger, their stats can be saved to their respective amiibo, allowing their Phantom Helper to grow in strength alongside them. It still sells for well over retail value, so I'd expect the same treatment for Fire Emblem Echoes. All other now available amiibo are also compatible, and will summon an additional monster to the battleground to assist players on the battlefield, proving some much needed help in case of a strategic emergency.

We'll have more on Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia as it comes.
