Instagram Will Let You Upload 10 Photos Into Miniature Galleries”

Starting today, you can share up to 10 photos and videos in one post on Instagram. They easily share those posts with their other social networks too like Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr and Facebook. Once their, choose and edit up to 10 photos and videos either individually, or with a single filter on everything. But now, users can create photo albums in a single post.

With its latest update, rolling out on Android and on iOS over the next few weeks, Instagram has added support for photo albums.

Once uploaded, users will be able to swipe left or right on the post to see the various items. To avoid cluttering your friends' feeds, you have to pick the best photo from a day or an event, the one that perfectly encapsulates the experience.

What do you do if you want to Instagram more than one photo? Of course there'd need to be a bunch of filters - oh and different photo sizes, and video, and links, and multiple photos per post, and multiple videos per post - whoops! This furthers Instagram's quest to be more than where you "only get to see the highlights", that Systrom described as the motive behind launching Instagram Stories.

After you've updated the app, you'll see a new icon to select multiple photos and videos.

From my own use of the app, I did not find an option to save an Instagram gallery after I posted a test slideshow to my account.

As Instagram states, your photos will be limited to a square view, for now. You can like and comment on them just like a regular post. On your feed, carousels will be marked by a series of dots under a photo, indicating you can swipe through them. When uploading a batch of photos and videos, tap a new icon within Instagram.
