Troy Ave Released From Hospital With Bullet Lodged in His Head”

The hip-hop artist is recovering in hospital after the attack.

Rapper Troy Ave was slated to be released from the hospital Monday - even though he still has bullets lodged in his head and back after he was shot in Brooklyn Christmas Day in his red Maserati.

Authorities say Troy Ave, whose legal name is Roland Collins, is in the hospital in fair condition. The hometown hip-hop star was grazed in the head and struck once in the arm as he sat alone in the six-figure sports vehicle, cops said.

The 31-year old MC is now at Brookdale Hospital, in stable condition.

He survived the incident and was admitted to a local hospital, where he received some moral support from fellow NY native 50 Cent. No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.

Troy Ave is now free on $500,000 bail, over another deadly shooting in May at a T.I. concert, at Irving Plaza. Troy Ave claims that he fired the shot in self-defense. He spent six weeks in jail before being released on $500,000 bail in July.

Relatives of the dead man, Ronald McPhatter, who was found near the bar of the VIP area, said he was working as a security guard for Collins when he was shot.

After Troy's lawyer Scott Leemon had informed the public through Billboard he was in stable condition, 50 Cent shared a photo of them, assuring the "Appreciate Me" rapper was all good. "In Brooklyn, going to meet his family for the holiday, he was shot two times".

"He is very sore", Troy Ave's lawyer, John Stella said. Thankfully, he will survive the second attempt on his life.
